Help a voice pronounce a character’s name
An unfamiliar name can sound right in one line and wrong in another. The pronunciation field gives the voice a more useful spelling to work from, though it cannot guarantee the same delivery every time.
Spell the name as you want it heard
In Voices, find the character and open Pronunciation. Enter a spelling that suggests the sound you want: for Siobhán, you might try “Shivawn”. Use Test to hear it with the selected AI voice, then adjust the spelling if needed.
What the field changes
The app substitutes your pronunciation spelling when it sends the character’s name for speech generation. It is a spoken-text substitution, not a pronunciation dictionary that the AI is guaranteed to follow.
Keep the guidance short and focused on the name. A sentence explaining the pronunciation is less useful here than the spelling itself.
Update a line that already sounds wrong
Existing audio keeps its old performance. Pause, select the affected line, choose Edit, and then Regenerate to make another take using the current guidance. Listen before moving on; you may need another spelling or another attempt.
