About this policy
This policy explains how Table Read Studio ("we", "us", or "our") handles personal information when you visit tablereadstudio.app, create an account, or use our services. We are responsible for deciding how that information is used.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we collect:
- account and contact details, such as your name, email address, profile image, and sign-in information;
- subscription, billing, credit-usage, promotion, and transaction records (payment card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us);
- content and settings you choose to save or submit, including scripts, sides, voice and sound prompts, generated or uploaded audio, feedback, and testimonials;
- service activity and technical information, such as pages viewed, feature use, device and browser information, IP address, cookies, and diagnostic logs; and
- communications you send to us, including support requests and email preferences.
Camera and microphone access is used only when you choose to record. Self-tape recordings are created in your browser and downloaded to your device; we do not upload those recordings to our servers as part of that feature.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service;
- create accounts, process subscriptions, and manage usage;
- process scripts and prompts and provide AI voice, audio, and related features;
- communicate about your account, support requests, service changes, and offers where permitted;
- measure performance and understand how the service is used;
- prevent fraud, misuse, and security incidents; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
Our legal bases, where applicable, include performing our contract with you, complying with law, our legitimate interests in operating, improving, securing, and promoting the service, and consent where required. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
Advertising and similar audiences
We may use account contact information to create advertising audiences with advertising partners, including Meta. This lets us show ads to existing users and ask those partners to find other people who may have similar characteristics or interests (often called a lookalike or similar audience). The partner uses the identifiers we provide to perform audience matching under its own terms and privacy practices.
We use this information for advertising only where we have the necessary rights and a lawful basis. You can object or opt out at any time by emailing us with the subject "Advertising Opt-Out". We will stop including your information in customer-list audiences we control and remove it from existing lists when they are next updated. This does not necessarily stop you seeing our ads, which may still be shown for other reasons.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may treat disclosures for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing" even when no money changes hands; you may use the same opt-out process for those disclosures.
Cookies and analytics
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, security, preferences, analytics, and advertising. You can limit cookies through your browser or device settings, although parts of the service may then work differently. Where required by law, we will request consent before using non-essential technologies.
When we disclose information
We disclose information to providers that help us operate the service, including hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, communications, payments, customer support, and AI and media processing providers. We may also disclose information to advertising partners as described above, to professional advisers, during a business reorganisation or sale, when required by law, or when necessary to protect people, the service, or our legal rights. These recipients may process information in other countries.
International transfers
Personal information may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use recognised safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual protections.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes in this policy, including to provide the service, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. Retention periods vary by the type of information. We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; opt out of targeted advertising; or appeal our response. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
You can manage marketing email preferences through the unsubscribe link in an email or contact us. Account and privacy requests can be sent to the address below.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us with personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the date above. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where required.
