Getting started
Choose what the narrator reads
A dialogue-only pass can be useful, but sometimes you need to hear what happens between the speeches. The narrator’s settings decide which of those parts are read aloud.
Give the narrator a voice
Open Voices and enable the Narrator. Choose an AI voice if you want the app to read the descriptions. Turning the narrator on and choosing its voice are separate steps.
Choose the parts you want to hear
Use Headings, Actions, and Transitions to choose the material the narrator reads. If locations or transitions seem to be missing from your read, check these switches first.
After changing a setting, select the passage you want to hear and press Play. Enabling a switch does not itself play or generate the newly included lines.
Keep narration brisk
The narrator also has a playback speed control. Use it when you want descriptions to take less time between dialogue. This changes the narrator’s pace; it is not a speed control for the whole cast.
